I photograph people in all stages of life, with studio sessions available for headshots and outdoor locations for families, kids, maternity, and Fairyography. In the studio, I keep things simple and comfortable so you can relax and look current for your online presence. Outdoors, I work in natural spaces where kids can move, parents can breathe, and expecting mothers can settle in without feeling posed. No matter the session type, my goal is to help you feel at ease and actually enjoy being photographed.
People come to me for different reasons, but they all want the same thing: photos that feel real and easy to share. Professionals want a headshot that looks like them on a good day. Hi, I'm Heather
Let me show you the color I see in your life.
If you’re in the Athens, Georgia area, you’ve probably spotted me behind the lens at the Botanical Gardens, UGA’s campus, the Founder's Garden, you name it. I’m a 6-foot redhead, so it’s truly impossible to miss me. If I’m being silly or frolicking around like a maniac, it’s because I pride myself in creating FUN experiences for the kids in front of my camera. I’ve been working with children for over 25 years, so I speak their language fluently.
I’m also a fur-mom of 2 blind cats, love gardening, & enjoy waking up at the crack of dawn on dewy mornings to capture macro photos of tiny creatures.
While I adore my hometown of Athens, I love that I get to frequently travel & speak at photography conferences around the country. I'm a SIGMA America Ambassador, an Imagen Ambassador, a Nanlite Ambassador, and a Fundy Storyteller.

I will walk you through the entire process… choosing outfits, styling your session, selecting the perfect location, and ultimately picking out your final images and creating tangible products that will forever remind you of this time in your life. Time is fleeting, especially with children, and my goal is to capture them as they truly are — no forced smiles, tears, or bribes. As a former pre-school teacher, I have 25+ years experience with kids and can guarantee they’ll enjoy their time with me and we’ll capture real expressions and true joy.
